How to uninstall Symantec End point Protection(SEP) 11 & 12

Steps to uninstall SEPM:

1) Open SEPM from the taskbar and switch to “Help” menu.



2) Then Navigate to trouble shooting->




3) A window with Troubleshooting menu appears. Then Navigate to policy profile and export the policy file (Policy.xml) to your desired location.





4) Open the policy.xml with Notepad++ and search for the text [UninstallNeedPassword="1”]. Once you found the text replace “1” with “0”.


5) Save the current file and roll back to the SEP.




6) Now Import the policy file and hit Update.


7) Now you can normally uninstall SEP from control panel or CCleaner etc.: - Enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
